Gigabyte Announces Four ICS-Powered Dual-SIM Smartphones

Taiwanese company Gigabyte has just announced the upcoming availability of four Android smartphones with dual-SIM capabilities.

The official announcement was made during Computex 2012 trade fair, though the handset manufacturer failed to offer any details on pricing options and/or release dates.

However, Gigabyte unveiled the smartphones’ specs sheet and the main selling points seem to be the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system and dual-SIM capability.

Aside from these common traits, the smartphones come with different specs that set them apart from each other. For example, Gigabyte GSmart M1420 boasts a large 4.3-inch WVGA capacitive touchscreen display that supports 480 x 800 pixels resolution and 16 million colors.

The GSmart M1420 will also come with an 8-megapixel rear camera, 1 GHz MediaTek MT6575 processor, and secondary 1.3-megapixel front-facing photo snapper. There’s also Wi-Fi and Bluetooth support.

The second smartphone announced by Gigabyte, the GSmart M1320 has a much smaller 3.5-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports 480 x 800 pixels resolution. On the inside, the handset packs 512MB of RAM, 4GB of internal memory and 1 GHz processor.

On the back, the GSmart M1320 sports a mediocre 3-megapixel photo snapper with LED flash. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity are included as well.

Gigabyte GSmart G1362 is powered by a 1.2 GHz Qualcomm CPU, which is complemented by 512MB of RAM. There are 4GB of internal memory that can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD card.

The smartphone comes with a large 4.3-inch capacitive touchscreen display, as well as dual cameras (5-megapixel rear photo snapper and VGA front-facing camera for video calls). HSDPA and HSUPA technology is available along with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

Last but not least, Gigabyte GSMart G1342 is the less featured of the four and comes with a 3.5-inch capacitive touchscreen display (320 x 480 pixels) and an 800 MHz single-core Qualcomm MSM7225A processor. It also packs 512MB of RAM, 1GB of internal memory, 5-megapixel main camera and VGA front facing camera.
