Harmonix has posted a brand new video that shows off the different power-ups that can be used by players when experiencing its upcoming Rock Band Blitz music game. Rock Band titles delivered some impressive experiences in the last few years but, ever since their popularity dwindled, Harmonix has been trying to reinvent the franchise.
With Rock Band Blitz, the studio is tapping into the origins of the genre and sees players guide their cursor through different lanes that represent various instruments while playing certain songs, without using the plastic peripherals.
Besides pushing buttons in time with the music, the game also has a variety of power-ups that can be deployed when things get hectic.
These extra abilities include Band Mate and Pinball Mode, which both help boost the scores of the player when deployed correctly.
More power-ups are set to be revealed in the near future but, until then, check out the video above to see these two in action.
Rock Band Blitz is out this summer on PS3 and Xbox 360 as a downloadable experience.
