The Harry Potter series has famously been one of the few popular titles that weren't available in a digital format, aka ebook. Legally, that is, the books have been available on file-sharing sites since the day they were published. A short while ago, Pottermore was introduced, a site dedicated exclusively to selling Harry Potter ebooks, books that were available in any other online store.
Until today that is, as Amazon has announced that it is bringing all seven books to its beloved customers. But they won't be available for sale, rather Amazon Prime subscribers will be able to lend them via the Kindle Owners Lending Library for
free.
"The Kindle Owners’ Lending Library has now grown to over 145,000 books that can be borrowed for free as frequently as once a month, with no due dates," Amazon said. The books will be available starting late June.
