After her spectacular comeback into the spotlight at the Grammys this year, which put an end to months of bad health and severe vocal issues, Adele went under the radar again. She recently broke her silence by sitting down for a no-holds-barred interview with Matt Lauer. It will air in full next month but, until then, fans still have something to hold on to, as Lauer previewed it on The Today Show.

The one-hour special will be called “Adele Live in London with Matt Lauer” and will air on June 5.
As the preview shows, the special will also include many of the performances on her best-selling live DVD “Adele Live at the Royal Albert Hall.”
Fans will listen to her talk about her meteoric rise to fame, which is, according to her, the biggest downside to being the most talked about artist of the moment, and her plans for the future.
Adele insists that she was never after fame and celebrity status, even though it's just now that she understands they come with the territory.
She's all about the music and she wants the world to know that: if she could make music, please fans and be the same girl she was before all this, she would probably be the happiest.
Still, Adele hasn't lost all hope at a chance for a normal life. In fact, she tells Lauer terribly amused, just the day before the interview she got to walk through Trafalgar Square in her pajamas and no one recognized her.
Clearly, she is determined to hold on tight to her privacy and to do whatever she can not to lose herself to the media.
Adele also tackles the question of the most ridiculous rumor ever circulated about her, and of how she sees herself in 10 years.
Modest as always, she says she doesn't know whether she will be just as popular as she is today, but she will definitely still be singing.
“All I want to do is sing,” she says.
